Our Productions - Storytelling
Zwerge
Zwerge is an innovative work of theater based on an inspiring true story of a family of seven dwarves who survived Auschwitz after enduring horrific genetic testing. This new musical seamlessly melds the use of live actors, music and puppetry, to create a wholly unique and compelling theatrical experience. Zwerge takes us on a journey that explores the duplicity, compassion, horrors and resiliency of humanity.
Created by Jean Marie Keevins, Deborah Hertzberg and Spender Lott with a score by the incomparable Jeremiah Lockwood, Zwerge is a two-time recipient of Jim Henson Foundation Grants, a residency at the National Puppetry Conference and multiple writing residencies at the Tony-Award Winning Eugene O’Neill Theater Center as well as a residency at NYC’s famed developmental theatrical institution, Dixon Place. Zwerge is undoubtedly “one to watch”.
