Artist Bios
Andrew Kim is puppet maker and performer based in West Yorkshire, England. He is the co-director of Thingumajig Theatre ( http://thingumajig.info ) who create touring giant puppet and street theatre acts, build puppets for commissions and teach puppet making and performing workshops. Andrew was born in Korea, raised and educated in the USA emigrated to the UK in 2006. He has created and performed puppet and mask plays, parades and pageants for nearly 30 years with In the Heart of the Beast Theatre, Bread & Puppet Theater, Horse and Bamboo, Theatre Thalias Tjenere (Denmark), Thingumajig Theatre and many others. Andrew is the founder and former director of Handmade Parade. His puppets have been seen throughout the UK and in 20 other countries throughout Europe, Asia and North America, in several television shows and a Disney feature film.

Donovan Zimmerman is an artist, puppeteer and activist working to shape positive change in the world. He is committed to transformative justice for all people, the Earth and its creatures through the puppetry arts, spectacle pageantry and storytelling. He works to help heal the damage already done while imagining a livable future. He is the co-creator of Paperhand Puppet Intervention in North Carolina where he lives and farms along the Haw River with his family in Saxapahaw. He is deeply grateful for it all.
